Before starting your painting/coating project
For each product that you have ordered, carefully read the Technical Data Sheets (TDS), the Manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and the Application Guides (AG) all of which are shown on this site.
NOTE ANY SPECIAL ADVICE/INSTRUCTIONS/GUIDES IN RESPECT OF HEALTH/SAFETY/ENVIRONMENTAL MATTERS
Plan how you are going to tackle the project so as to avoid potential health/safety/environmental issues.
When you start your painting/coating project
Be sure to wear all of the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, mask etc.
Apply paints/coatings in accordance with all of the advice/instructions given in the TDS and MSDS for each product
Also, take account of any tips shown within Application Guides (AG) where they are available.
When you have finished your painting/coating project
NEVER DISPOSE OF RESIDUAL PAINTS/COATINGS BY EMPTYING IN TO WATER COURSES, SEWERS, DRAINS OR THE GROUND
Empty and part-empty tins should be considered as potential hazardous waste and disposed of in line with advice from your local Council or Recycling Centre.
